I’ve always been a contradiction — the son of a Canadian minister who ventured into BMX, punk, and hardcore. My father, a pastor, taught me about the Bible but also shared his love of cinema, from Kubrick to Hitchcock.

My camera became my passport, leading me on unexpected journeys — from road trips through the drainage ditches of Louisiana to cramped seats in tour vans, capturing the chaos of mosh pits at shows my parents called "noise." It took me deep into the jungles of Malawi, where I photographed for an NGO supporting disabled individuals in extreme poverty, and propelled me into the high-octane intensity of the Canadian Football League. Through it all, my goal remained the same: to capture the raw, unfiltered emotions of every moment, in every frame.

Seeking new creative avenues, I ventured into motion pictures as my photography evolved into directing — from emotional short films about the dissolution of friendships to intense art pieces with fireworks dancing in slow motion around extreme athletes. Commercial clients soon followed: Coca-Cola, American Express, TD Bank, the Toronto Raptors, Nike, and Disney. These clients were drawn to my ability to tell human stories through striking visuals.

In 2023, my work earned seven pencils at The One Show, including Gold and Silver honors for "The Unburnable Book," a powerful campaign featuring author Margaret Atwood. The project symbolized defiance against censorship, with Atwood wielding a flamethrower against a fireproof copy of The Handmaid's Tale.

I’ve embraced my contradictions. They help me bring characters to life as I develop my first feature film, maintain my vision with clients, and adapt to create unforgettable images in any setting.
